We have just updated http://dwacon.com to WordPress. If you think this site is cool, check out what we have done with our home site.
We have had continued successes with our screenwriting. One screenplay in particular has garnered great attention… first in 2009 when, after placing second in the OBS Screenplay Competition, we received an opportunity to discuss our work with executives at Will Smith’s Overbrook Entertainment.
Then, in 2010, we were an official selection in the Beverly Hills Film Festival. You can read more about that festival (and see our collection of photographs) in our previous blog.
This year, we achieved a coveted spot in the Cinequest Film Festival. Following is an excerpt from the letter we received:
Where does one go after three consecutive home runs? We hope to make it to the home plate!
Our screenplay Julie 2.0 was a featured selection in the 2010 Beverly Hills Film Festival. It was an honor to meet and mingle with Hollywood greats such as Elliot Gould, Kate Maberly, Quinton Aaron… and the past and present mayors of Beverly Hills.
This was the second of three major acknowledgements of our writing. The first was the 2009 OBS Screenplay contest, which won us an opportunity to pitch to Will Smith’s Overbrook Entertainment.
The next? Coming soon…
Meanwhile, enjoy these photos from the grand event:

My novella Pater Familias continues to expand its presence. A brief synopsis:
Family can be a noun… a verb… or a profanity. Political consultant Raymond Isaac Vincent parlayed his life-long relationship with the President of the United States into a successful political consultancy. He is willing to risk losing all he has spent his lifetime building in a desperate attempt at reconciling his four adult children.
